a little reward

I purchased an Esty creation, due to arrive in 3-4 weeks (right about the time I should be reaching my first goal weight).  However, this is a reward for how far I have come to date!

Mine will be a combination of these two pieces - I will have the hood (not the cowl) and the sleeves with the thumb hole - made to measurements I supplied!  I love the color and comfy style.  Perfect for Spring and wearing just about anywhere!!

biking through the sickies

I biked yesterday,
while sick,
and then went home,
to bed,
where I was joined
by my fur babies.

muffin top no more

Happiness is fitting back into one of my favorite pair of jeans and NOT oozing out with fat over the top of the waistband!

Added bonus - wearing a belt with aforementioned pants and being on the very tighest hole, making me think a new belt is also in my future!

PS:  Try gOOgle images for "no muffin top" - what a riot to start this Friday off with a laugh!!

just call me baggy butt

double-edged sword:

 losing weight
and trying on clothes every day this week
that no longer fit me.

I am not shopping for new clothes yet,
but this "baggy butt" syndrome
might not be the most appealing.

Every day I manage to leave the house looking like this,
and when I get home,
I toss the clothes into the
"must wash and donate" pile!

steel cut oats

My new favorite breakfast:  Aldi Millville Steel Cut Oats with craisins and a teaspoon of brown sugar.  It takes some time to make on the stove each morning, but I'm already in the kitchen getting breakfast & lunch made for the boys before we head out the door.  This truly fills me up and takes me through to lunch without additional cravings.  The health benefits of oatmeal are numerous too...  soluble fiber, lower cholesterol, and nutritious all the way around!

This morning I stepped on the scale and it read less one pound, for a total weight loss of 15 pounds from two years ago!  I am still working toward another 10 pound loss and hope to see that before Spring.

I have been using the Sentry blood pressure/weight machine at work to keep track of my progress, and while I am not hip on weighing myself fully clothed, I cannot deny the proof in the decrease of BMI, weight and blood pressure numbers.  According to the Mayo Clinic BMI calculator, I am .8 away from a healthy BMI again.  So happy!

Last, but not least, is the promise of my MFP progress after a daily food intake completion...  five weeks from today would be just after the two year mark of my last pregnancy.

Goal weight.  Yes, I can!!

progress, wrapped up in a chart

Hard to read,
even harder
to admit where I started
back in May 2012.

My goal is to be
10 pounds less
in readings
on this "contraption" scale/machine
at work by May 2013.

My home scale has a slightly different story to tell, but for all intents and purposes, the story is the same:  I'm healthier, exercising, eating right and losing the weight & inches!

good things

hoping
for
another
drop
in
the
numbers
on
the
scale
this
week.

After a weekend of not keeping track,
well, because it would take too much effort
to track calories in food I know I shouldn't have eaten,
today's a new day to a new week!

Back in the saddle again.
