steel cut oats

My new favorite breakfast:  Aldi Millville Steel Cut Oats with craisins and a teaspoon of brown sugar.  It takes some time to make on the stove each morning, but I'm already in the kitchen getting breakfast & lunch made for the boys before we head out the door.  This truly fills me up and takes me through to lunch without additional cravings.  The health benefits of oatmeal are numerous too...  soluble fiber, lower cholesterol, and nutritious all the way around!

This morning I stepped on the scale and it read less one pound, for a total weight loss of 15 pounds from two years ago!  I am still working toward another 10 pound loss and hope to see that before Spring.

I have been using the Sentry blood pressure/weight machine at work to keep track of my progress, and while I am not hip on weighing myself fully clothed, I cannot deny the proof in the decrease of BMI, weight and blood pressure numbers.  According to the Mayo Clinic BMI calculator, I am .8 away from a healthy BMI again.  So happy!

Last, but not least, is the promise of my MFP progress after a daily food intake completion...  five weeks from today would be just after the two year mark of my last pregnancy.

Goal weight.  Yes, I can!!
